LSU linebacker Devin White was named SEC Co-Defensive Player Of The Week by the league office on Monday. Per LSUSports.net:

It’s the second SEC Defensive Player of the Week honor for White this year and the sixth of his career. White earned his other player of the week honor this year following LSU’s win over Georgia.

In LSU’s seven overtime contest against the Aggies, White registered a career-best 17 tackles to go along with four tackles for loss. He added a sack for a 12-yard loss and forced a fumble that resulted in a 58-yard return for a touchdown by Michael Divinity early in the fourth quarter that tied the contest at 24-24.

White’s four tackles for loss accounted for 21 yards in losses for the Aggies.

White, a junior from Springhill, Louisiana, ranks second in the SEC with 115 total tackles. He’s also No. 10 in the league in tackles for losses with 12.0.

Dude was flat out crushing dudes out there. I know the Butkus Award can be political and he may not win, but he definitely deserves it.
