Anybody want to rethink the Tigers loss to Mississippi St.? The Bulldogs played Alabama better than anyone last night and lost by 7 after leading in the 4th quarter.

LSU softened up that Bama defense pretty well for them. Again, that was the perfect place for the upset: at night, in Starkville, post-LSU... But, yeah, that was a tough spot for a very young team that hadn’t deal with much, if any, adversity to go into early in the year. It’s not game that LSU should lose, but it’s understandable how they lost. I think the score, not the outcome, was the more upsetting. But, as Auburn proved yesterday, sometimes it’s not necessarily the talent of the two teams involved, but how the two teams match up.

I've been saying it's about how teams match up all season not your ranking. State knew going in that bama was injured and bruised from the LSU game, which made it close but if LSU and state played next week, LSU would stomp them. That game was a perfect storm for State to win how they did. The flags that were thrown on that young team to start the game and it demoralized them. This season would be a totally different one with a win at state and beating Troy. Next years team needs to remember that every game is a big one, and you have to train/practice like its the bama game. Prepare like its bama week, every week and this team won't lose many games next year. Our WRs need to grow fast and we need to finish this class off with the top recruits on our board. If LSU can win out and finish this class strong, we can end up with a top 7 type of class, add our transfers, and start the season with some real confidence. We need some leaders on this team. Hopefully Myles and Fehoko can pump this team up. We will have some serious talent next year. GT

Sloppy game, but a win is a win. Need to bring A-game to Tennessee next week. Always a tough place to play for LSU. 10 wins is still within reach. Let’s Geaux Tigers!
