FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Washington Redskins rookie running back Derrius Guice said he suffered a hyperextended left knee at the end of a first-quarter run in Thursday's preseason opener against the New England Patriots but sounded optimistic, even as the club acknowledged he would undergo an MRI on Friday.

"At the back end of the play, when I was stiff-arming [a defender], my feet just kind of planted weirdly on the turf and my knee just hyperextended a little bit," he said. "It's fine."
Guice finished the game with six carries for 19 yards before leaving the game.

Even though it was called back, it would be good to get video of Guice's 34-yard run embedded in this story. Was pretty awesome. Looked exactly like the kind of runs he made at LSU. Totally shucked one tackler on a spin move and then stiff-armed another guy to gain an additional 10 yards.

Funny how you don't even hear about a former Bama running back even playing in the NFL. The Jaguars have a pretty good running back too

Ingram has had a fine career in New Orleans, and the one with a weird pony tail is starting to finally cement himself with the Titans. Eddie Lacy was honestly damned fine. That's about all I can think of in the past decade with any modicum of consistency as far as RB's.
