During his radio show on Thursday night, head coach Brian Kelly highlighted freshman edge rusher Da’Shawn Womack as one of the young Tigers who is "ready to play" and said he will see the field on Saturday vs. Mississippi State.

Womack, a highly recruited five-star prospect from Baltimore, Md., has played special teams this season and made a big hit last week vs. Grambling.

Thanks for making me feel old. He’s my age and I was in the student section for that 2004 game.

He changed his jersey number to #16, so he wouldn't have to take on and off that #92 jersey when he's on Special Teams with Chris Hilton.

Oh cool, two years in a row where it takes this staff several games before using the highest ranked recruit in their class. Come on Kelly.
