During a Texas Bowl press conference this week, head coach Brian Kelly was asked about senior offensive guard Garrett Dellinger and his status for the bowl game.
Kelly said that Dellinger would be physically cleared to play in the bowl game, but he would have to decide if he wants to play or sit out to prepare for the NFL Draft.
Dellinger, who has exhausted his eligibility, has not played since suffering a high ankle sprain on Oct. 26 vs. Texas A&M that required Tightrope surgery.
The former four-star recruit from Clarkston, Mich., played in 41 games with 30 starts for the Tigers over his four-year career in Baton Rouge.
