LSU defensive lineman Maason Smith is expected to make his return to the field on Saturday after missing last season with an ACL injury and serving a one-game suspension vs. Florida State.

On Tuesday, Coach Brian Kelly said he was "giddy" about Smith's return as he impacts the defense and allows the Tigers to do different things.

On Wednesday's SEC Coaches Teleconference, Kelly talked more about Smith and said they need to be realistic with his return since it's been so long since he last played.
