Head coach Brian Kelly spoke with media after practice on Thursday and provided a new update on running back John Emery Jr.
During the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday, Kelly said that Emery Jr. was "not available" for Sunday's season opener vs. Florida State but did not provide any details.
On Thursday, Kelly said that Emery Jr. is in good standing with the team and will return in Week 3 vs. Mississippi State.
