The Arkansas KAI8 weather team is expecting unusually cold weather this week that could last throughout the LSU-Arkansas game on Saturday night in Fayetteville.

The National Weather Service says the cold front will move through the state Tuesday. On Wednesday, high temperatures will be about 15 to 20 degrees below normal, reaching only the 40s in most areas.
It's expected to be even colder Thursday with some areas not making it out of the 30s.
The weather service says the weekend could bring some wintry precipitation, but it's still uncertain this far out. Forecasters say a storm system is expected to approach Arkansas from the southwest, which could lead to a wintry mix in the northern parts of the state this weekend.
