LSU defensive back coach and recruiting coordinator Corey Raymond was over in Lafayette on Friday to see four-star cornerback commit Laterrance Welch.

Welch, a 6-1, 180-pound prospect from Acadiana HS, is rated the No. 15 cornerback in the country and the No. 12 overall player from the state, according to Rivals.

He committed to LSU last January, choosing the Tigers over offers from schools like Auburn, Alabama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and many others.
