Just one day after earning a scholarship offer from LSU, four-star athlete Mario Goodrich received a visit from defensive back coach Corey Raymond.

Goodrich was originally committed to Nebraska but reopened his recruitment at the beginning of December.

Goodrich, a 6-2, 180-pound prospect from Lee's Summit, MO is rated the No. 4 athlete in the country and the No. 4 overall player from the state of Missouri for the class of 2018, according to 247Sports.

Hi, RidiculousHype! I mean Coach Aranda. Sorry I took so long getting back to you. I’ve been advising Sean Payton on this whole referee issue. Anyway, I think LB’s somewhere in the 6’2” 245lb. range with 4.5 40 speed should suffice. Of course, you’ have to run this by BigTimer first and get his approval.(I wonder if he’s reading this?) Glad to help, Coach!

I really don’t know how the program would survive without you Lexman

Not understanding with the limited amount of spaces left we are looking at new people.

Not a good sign when you have limited numbers and you are offering other guys that have not been on your board

I’m not seeing how this isn’t a good sign. If we don’t get the guys you hope for and end up with no one then people would bash the staff for not attempting to recruit other people. If you follow recruiting, we haven’t exactly always pulled in our top 5 left on the board on NSD each year. If you watch Goodrich’s videos you can see that he has talent, especially in defense. He was committed to Nebraska until after their coach was fired. He holds officers from Michigan and other SEC schools, including this year’s SEC champions. I see this as a good thing.

You are not in the 'war room' hence your lack of understanding should be your answer!!! Obviously there is a need to seek out additional recruits based on what they are 'reading in their tea leaves' from current recruit targets.

Maybe so. He’s a good ambassador for us. I am glad to see Coach Raymond listened to my comments about going after taller DB’s to match up better with the big receivers in the conference. Glad I could help!

Lexman1- this is Coach Aranda. I saw your advice for Coach Raymond, wondering what size linebackers I should go after. Thoughts?
