Multiple sources are reporting that four-star 2017 athlete Jacoby Stevens has de-committed from LSU.

Stevens spoke to SEC Country and said that his de-commitment was because of the uncertainty surrounding Les Miles and his situation at LSU.
quote:

“I have always envisioned myself playing under Les Miles, Corey Raymond – the defensive backs coach – having someone I can talk to there like family, which is (player personnel director) Austin Thomas, and me not knowing if these guys are going to be there is too much uncertainty. I don’t like that,” Stevens said.
Stevens, a 6-2, 193-pound prospect from Murfreesboro, TN (Oakland HS) committed to LSU back in September of 2015.

With Stevens de-commitment, four-star defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin is now LSU's only commitment for the class of 2017.

Committing 2 years in advance is way to early to make up your mind where you want to play college ball... Chance are being from Tenn and barely 16 years old, he probably would have decommitted regardless if Les Miles would be here or not.... You may lose 3 or 4 but you may also gain 5 or 6.... Time will tell.... Hey, it happens.... Peace out.....

Don't commit 2 years in advance if you don't like uncertainty. That's a long time for something to happen.

Yea. It's all the fan's fault. They have so much power to change things like, coaching hires , gameplans, etc..

Nothing is certain in recruiting because nothing is certain in a young man's mind. We will have a good class regardless because others will flip to fill the void. LSU is still a great university and our program is top-notch.

I would like to thank Joe Alleva, boosters, and a miserable fan base for sending our program back to the dark ages.

I must blame the media for the de-commits. This is not a story yet. Miles is still in place as HC. But the media "Guessers" have written, rewritten and had a feeding frenzy on zero credible info. Now we have a program, with problems, losing potential players because of the hype.

Maybe Miles will be gone; at least wait until then and write about the true situation. This country, being media fed, expects everything yesterday. No patience.

How would that save Les?

It wouldn't surprise me if these kids were backing out to save Les. They all talk to each other at this point.

They need to hire a great recruiter to get these kids to stay. I think Brady Hoke would be a great fit
