by Staff Reporter
December 20, 201628 Comments
Elite five-star running back and major LSU target Cam Akers will be announcing his college decision on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 7 pm CT.
He will be deciding between Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida State and Tennessee.
The 5-11, 213-pound prospect from Clinton, MS is rated the No. 2 running back in the country and No. 1 player from Mississippi for 2017, according to all major recruiting websites.
He was originally committed to Alabama but reopened his recruitment back in March. The Crimson Tide currently have two running back committed for the class of 2017.
LSU currently only has one running back commitment for the class of 2017 in four-star prospect Clyde Edwards-Helaire from Baton Rouge, LA (Catholic HS).
Head coach Ed Orgeron and running back coach Jabbar Juluke visited Akers back in late November.
