Over the past five days there hasn't been a hotter school on the recruiting trail than LSU. With five commitments in as many days, the Tigers now have the No. 3 recruiting class in the country, according to 247 Sports.

Here is what the Top 10 looks like:
1. Ohio State (13 commitments)
2. Oklahoma (12)
3. LSU (12)
4. Miami (15)
5. Alabama (9)
6. Clemson (10)
7. Georgia (9)
8. Notre Dame (10)
9. Michigan (12)
10. Mississippi State (14)

Here is how LSU jumped up the rankings in just five days:

The fun began last Friday when offensive tackle Austin Deculus, a 6-6, 310-pounder from Cypress, TX gave his verbal pledge to LSU after his High School spring game. The four-star prospect holds many offers from elite schools but ultimately wanted to be a Tiger. He is the No. 4 offensive tackle in the country, according to ESPN.

On Saturday, LSU was able to reel in commitments for top JUCO WR Stephen Guidry and athlete Tory Carter.

Guidry, a 6-4, 190-pound receiver from Morganza, LA committed to South Carolina back on March 1st but reopened his recruitment on April 29th. He gave his commitment to the LSU coaches this past weekend while on campus for the Bayou Picnic.

Carter, a 6-2, 255-pound athlete from Leesburg, GA can play on both sides of the ball but will most likely suit up at fullback for the Tigers, a position that is always important in Les Miles' run heavy offense.

The fourth commitment came from a familiar face that knows his way around LSU's campus. Defensive end Aaron Moffitt, the son of Strength coach Tommy Moffitt ended his recruitment on Monday by giving his verbal commitment to offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. The 6-4, 248-pounder plays at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and said he couldn't imagine himself playing anywhere else besides in Tiger Stadium.

The latest commitment came on Tuesday when offensive guard Saahdiq Charles from Madison, MS decided to shut down his recruitment and give his verbal pledge to LSU. He chose the Tigers over Mississippi State.

The 6-5, 313-pound prospect is originally from New Orleans but moved to Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina. Welcome back home Saahdiq.

With these five latest commitments, LSU now has 12 verbal commitments for the class of 2017.
