Mickey joined exclusive company by becoming only the second player in LSU history with 100 blocked shots in a season. The other is Shaquille O’Neal. After averaging 12.9 points and 7.9 rebounds, Mickey will team with fellow sophomore Jarell Martin for what could be the SEC’s best frontcourt duo.
Third Team:
Wayne Selden - Kansas
Rodney Purvis - UConn
Nigel Hayes - Wisconsin
Damian Jones - Vanderbilt
Jarell Martin - LSU

Martin finished strong last season and averaged 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds a game.

LSU opens the season on Nov. 18 against Texas Tech in the ESPN Tipoff Marathon.

I've never understood these types of pre-season All-Conference teams. They just seem silly and a waste of energy. Same thing with pre-season polls. Just wait until the games are played and then we'll know who's good and who's not.
