Will Wade and the LSU coaching staff landed a commitment from Junior College center DeShawn Thomas on Monday night.

The 6-9, 230-pound Dentsville, South Carolina native is headed to LSU from Florida Southwestern State where he played with 2019 LSU signee Charles Manning.

Thomas averaged 6.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game last season.

If he’s 6’9 I’m 6’7 I met Taz a few weeks ago and he is 6’5 TOPS. I’m 6’4 and we were eye to eye. Heights are always so skewed

Nice to have Taz in these pictures to get a real idea of how big they are! Having another big man will help this team so much this season

His life will be much different now than when he was playing in front of 60 people. Congrats, and welcome to the family.

Great pick...good height, needs about 20 lbs of muscle for 6' 9" if staying at center

Should slide into KBW’s nicely. More blocks per minute played and 2 years younger with room to improve.
