Former LSU guard Marcus Thornton, who played for the Tigers from 2007-2009, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Houston Rockets. Per YahooSports.com:

Thornton has averaged 12.7 points and shot 36.2 percent from 3-point range during his six-year NBA career.

He played for the Boston Celtics and the Phoenix Suns last season. The Miami Heat also showed strong interest in Thornton.
Thornton, a native of Baton Rouge, played Kilgore College before transferring to LSU in 2007. He was the consensus SEC Player of the Year during his senior season at LSU.
