"He was able to enroll in school, the SEC and NCAA allowed him to enroll,'' Jones said. "He could do everything in terms of academically, meet with academic tutors utilize the academic center of student-athletes. He just couldn't be in practice or particpate in games or travel with us in that manner.

"Because he's fulfilled his obligations now, he is certainly a part of the team. He's been working out with us this summer and we look forward to the kind of impact he could possibly make with our team next season.''

Bridgwater is listed as a sophomore on the Tigers' roster. Jones said he is hopeful that at the completion of his third season, Bridgewater will granted a fourth year by the NCAA.

Bridgewater was a top football and basketball prospect coming out of Scotlandville High School.

He's too short to compete in college basketball with his skill set. Think a shorter, less talented Big Baby.

He did before transferring to Scottlandville and led them to a title. Very physical athlete. I actually thought at one point he might make a better TE prospect
