Report: Ole Miss' Mike Bianco Receives Contract Extension, No Longer Candidate For LSU Job

Ole Miss baseball coach Mike Bianco has received a four-year contract extension to remain in Oxford amid rumors that he was a candidate for the LSU coach job.

Bianco, a former LSU player and assistant coach, has been the coach at Ole Miss for 21 seasons. Per The Clarion-Ledger:

Bianco's name had been connected to the coaching vacancy at LSU, his alma mater. The Daily Advertiser reported Bianco interviewed for the LSU job this week but was not offered the job.

"I’m proud of what we have accomplished over the past 21 years, and I look forward to building on that foundation and achieving new levels of success.
