Per LSUSports.net: HOUSTON -- The LSU baseball team dropped its Shriners Hospital for Children College Classic opener against No. 1 TCU, 9-6, Friday night at Minute Maid Park.

LSU returns to action Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CT against Baylor to continue its weekend at the Shriners Hospital for Children Classic.

As good as Lange is, his Achilles heel has always been walks. That will kill you at any level. Hope he gets it figured out.

Lange was a dud...but that strike zone was up for interpretation

Strike zone seemed a bit inconsistent but it was equally bizarre for both teams. TCU has a pretty nasty team right now. Hitters were very disciplined at the plate and made LSU pitchers work for every out all night. Some of LSU's hitters on the other hand (esp Pap) kept swinging away at bad pitches all night.
