LSU junior outfielder Greg Deichmann was named one of the 25 semifinalists for the USA Golden Spikes Award on Wednesday.

The award is given out annually to the top college baseball player in the country. Per The Advocate:

The junior outfielder ranks among the top 15 nationally in both home runs (19) and RBIs (67). He also hit .330 this season while making six outfield assists on his way to first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors.

Finalists will be announced June 14.
