LSU catcher Brock Mathis and pitcher Will Ripoll have entered their names into the NCAA Transfer Portal and are expected to leave to program.

Mathis, a sophomore from Fairfield, Ohio, started the season at catcher until Saul Garza overtook the job.

Ripoll, a freshman right-hander from New Orleans (John Curtis HS) was a rarely used bullpen pitcher for the Tigers in 2019.

Not unexpected. I imagine there will be a few more to leave before next spring.

Not too very long ago, Smoke started having a few underachieving teams. Yes, this team was in position to win 2 and travel to Omaha but with all the talent up and down, kind of feels like A Smoke disappointing season. CPM is in the middle tier of SEC coaches but is at one of the top programs. Hope he gets it back where it should be. He is paid handily
