LSU "Fearing The Worst" After Bryce Jordan Injuries Knee vs. Texas A&M

LSU head coach Paul Mainieri is "fearing the worst" after Bryce Jordan collided with Texas A&M first-basemen and injured his knee in Game 2 on Friday night.

The knee is the same one that Jordan seriously injured during preseason last year which caused him to miss the entire 2017 season.

Texas A&M defeated LSU 9-2 on Friday night but Mainieri was clearly more worried about Jordan's injury than the loss. Per The Advocate:

Mainieri declined to speculate on the severity of the injury until Jordan is able to see a doctor when the team returns to Baton Rouge. All the coach could say, in a muted tone, was that he feared the worst.

"It's unbelievable, man," Mainieri said. "These poor kids, what they've been through. It's hard to believe. It makes the game seem so irrelevant.

"I just feel so bad for the kid. It's awful."
