Per LSUSports.net: METAIRIE, La. -- LSU defeated Southern Miss 13-5 in the 11th Wally Pontiff Jr. Baseball Foundation Classic Tuesday night at Zephyr Field.
The Tigers, winners of eight of their last nine games, improved to 28-9-1. Southern Miss dropped to 21-17.
