During his radio show on Monday, LSU baseball head coach Jay Johnson provided injury updates on Casan Evans, Chris Stanfield, and John Pearson.

Johnson explained that Friday night starter Casan Evans didn't feel good warming up before the Mississippi State series, which is why he was a late scratch.

Gavin Guidry started in place of Evans, but Johnson is hopeful he will return soon, potentially this weekend.

Johnson added that Chris Stanfield and John Pearson are both dealing with hamstring injuries and are doubtful for Tuesday's game against Southeastern Louisiana, but he is optimistic they will return soon.

Coach. It's time to change the plan for the season. The plan now is: "Get the Team Ready for Next Season." No shame in it. Just Reality.

Every time jay says he’s optimistic someone will return they end up being out for the year. He was optimistic abut Guidry half the season last year and cooper Moore was supposed to be out a couple of weeks
