Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE, La. – Ninth-ranked LSU used a two-run sixth inning to rally behind a strong effort from freshman pitcher Jared Poche' for a 2-1 victory over Mississippi State Saturday night at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
The Tigers improved to 23-8-1 overall and 5-5-1 in the Southeastern Conference. The Bulldogs dropped to 20-12 overall and 6-5 in conference play.
