Longtime Georgia running back coach Dell McGee has been officially hired as Georgia State's head coach.

The 50-year-old coach from Columbus, Georgia, also held the title of assistant head coach and run game coordinator during his time with the Bulldogs.

McGee will replace former Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliot who recently resigned to joining South Carolina's staff.
