MyFoxPhilly.com is reporting that Penn State is looking at former NFL head coach Eric Mangini to be their next head coaching candidate. Fox 29 contributor Mike Missanelli from 97.5 The Phanatic said...

“I know they are very interested on [Mangini] the former NFL coach who has been fired twice in the NFL,” says Missanelli, who has reported on Penn State for years.

“He’s the latest flavor of the month. They will not be able to get a big name given to sustain what is going on.”

Missanelli also said Tony Dungy turned down the Penn State job."
This will come down to simply who is brave enough to take this job.

PSU was a one time believed to be a fantastic job, Now no one wants to go there. , At least no one with a big name. They may have to just promote from within and stay with ole Bradley. Probably the only one who even wants to be there. Good Luck Penn St.

Eric Mangini is a fantastic football mind. I don't know if he can recruit, though.
