Remember Alabama LB Mekhi Brown, the dude who was restrained during the National Championship game from going after one of his coaches on the sideline? Well, he's transferring to Tennessee State. But apparently this has been in the works for weeks before the title game...
quote:

As a result of the incident in the national championship game against Georgia, Brown will have certain stipulations he must meet before being allowed to join the football team at TSU.
If he meets those stipulations Brown will be allowed to participate in spring practice with the Tigers and be eligible to play this fall with two years of eligibility remaining.

He can always say that he kept it real. So he's got that going for him, which is nice.

I would guess that transferring to another team before spring practice would probably be in his best interest...
