re: Big Island Hawaii. what is cannot miss to see - Tygra
Donkeys apparently. Seriously though, we just missed the crazy lava flow happening now. We did the volcano and waterfall helicopter tour out of Hilo, but I heard the boat tour is good too. Not sure what the situation is like now, but worth doing at least one of them. Akaka Falls is on the drive to H...

re: National Park Road Trip - West - Tygra
Thanks! Figured you would have good input. As others advised, we are now going to do the trip in the second part of June. We are definitely going to have limited time. My friend has to return to work, so I could always continue the tail end of the journey by myself and get my friend to fly back alon...
For your time frame, if you are wanting to actually spend any time in the parks, those are the two you would probably need to cut along with Yellowstone
This trip came about because we both want to go to Crater Lake and Glacier- it is why I named them specifically. The others would...

re: Travelling to Paris for 15th Wed Anni - Tygra
Versailles is a must. The Rodin museum is near Invalides, so you can do both in the same morning or afternoon. If you can play the timing right, go to the top of the arc at night when one of the Eiffel light shows happen. Pretty cool way to combine the two. Food tip: Filet Americain is probably not ...

re: BVI sailing in the late Fall - Tygra
I've been twice in November. Thanksgiving was more crowded for obvious reasons. Had trouble finding mooring balls at a few spots, but managed to revisit on a different day. The second week of November was less crowded, which made navigating a little easier. For places being closed, as far as I remem...

re: Best dog food for dogs with allergies? - Tygra
We use Farmina. My dog enjoys the lamb and salmon low grain variety. Available through chewy.com. I suggest switching to a different protein than what your dog is currently using. My uncle's dog was having similar issues and had to try a few different proteins. Dog no longer has issues and no meds ...

re: Preservation Hall tickets - Tygra
If you have Facebook, write that you are looking for tickets in the discussion area of the event. Also, check off that you're interested so when others post in the event you get notified. Thankfully a friend posted about it, and I grabbed tickets right away. Can't wait!...

re: Camping and Hiking near Lake Tahoe/Reno - Tygra
We camped in the Virginia Lakes area. Read Dharma Bums before you go. There's a little town Bridgeport close to there for restaurants, supplies, and bars. Also if you pass by the Chevron just outside of Yosemite, you need to check it out. Great food!...
