re: Camping and Hiking near Lake Tahoe/Reno - Tygra
We camped in the Virginia Lakes area. Read Dharma Bums before you go. There's a little town Bridgeport close to there for restaurants, supplies, and bars. Also if you pass by the Chevron just outside of Yosemite, you need to check it out. Great food!...

re: Dunn Rd neighborhoods (Walker) - Tygra
My old street close to Lockhart and Dunn did not have flooding in the homes. This is the Denham Springs area though in case someone opens this thread and is curious about the other end of Dunn. If you post the specific street or neighborhood someone might be able to tell you more. ...

re: Crossing into Canada with a passport card - Tygra
I recently drove through with passport card on the way to Vancouver. It was my first time to Canada, so they demanded a background check. re: Seattle- Things to Do - Tygra
Visiting now. I went to Stoup's and Peddler. Not bad for the prices. I heard that Chuck's was decent. I went to Walrus & the Carpenter for happy hour (Mon-Thurs 4-6) and walked over to Stoup's from there. ...

Seattle- Things to Do - Tygra
I will be in Seattle for a couple of weeks and have done the more touristy things on my last trip. There will be random days that I will have free and will be looking for things to do by myself for a few hours. Specifically, I am looking for "easy" day hikes ie Snow Lake, lunch spots, trips to isl...

re: Bare boat charters in the BVI - Tygra
We use Voyage Charters out of Tortola. There is a forum called travel talk online with a lot of information you should check out. I assume since you are asking about bareboating that you or one other going is an experienced sailor. We haven't had to use a captain, but if he is anything like the rest...

re: Good eats in Charleston Sc? - Tygra
Edmund's Oast was great- make reservations. The charcuterie and pate were outstanding. Took an uber out there and it worked out great. Hominy Grill is worth trying, but be prepared to wait. Plenty of breweries around to check out as well. ...

re: Best dog toys for dogs that rip through toys? - Tygra
My dog tore that rope toy in a few days the straps went first then the strings from the rope became loose and it was over. She enjoyed every second of it though! Rubber Kong toys are the only thing that lasts for mine- not all of them but most do well. West Paw she destroys too, but it takes a while...

re: What are the BEST dog foods? - Tygra
Can you list a few dog and puppy foods that have healthy grains or a healthy amount of grains that are in your opinion great food options for dogs and puppies? I'm not opposed to grains, but I do not want to fill my puppy with massive amounts of grains that contain no or little nutritional value....
