Any good recommendations for a private tour guide?
We did that in Quebec City and it was worth every penny

Don’t have the name of a private guide, but check out www.walks.com. Themed walks that are generally well done. Show up at the designated tube stop, pay your money and join the group.

Second for the walking tours. We have done the pub and gaslight walking tours.
We leave September 30 for London.

Take a day trip out to Windsor and tour the castle. Way better than Buckingham Palace.

I know it may seem a little tacky but I really enjoyed the hop on hop off stuff with Big Bus Tours.

Love these. Great way to get a quick whirlwind tour the first day or so and then focus on your interests later in the trip. Cheaper than multiple Ubers or taxis throughout the day (I know there’s public transit).

Sidebar, do any of yall enjoy staying out in the suburbs more instead of in city centers? I stayed in Chiswick last time I was in London, and it was so peaceful.

Did a small group tour (12 people) out to Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath. Long but good day. The name of the tour group is International Friends. It was 164€ per person, a much better value than a private tour for a long day. Included entry to all of the places. (Windsor, Roman Baths, and Stonehenge.) We were on a small enough coach to go through small towns and bypass the large mega bus crowds.
