JPSO Deputy fires multiple shots at woman w/ car full of kids in Metairie

According to Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, the woman drove away from a deputy who tried to stop her for speeding. The woman, Lopinto says, later rammed her car into several sheriff's deputies' units. That led a deputy to start shooting at the woman. Nobody was hit by gunfire. The chase ended after deputies blocked the woman's car near Cleary Avenue and Veterans Boulevard, causing the woman to hit a curb. Deputies later learned that four children were inside the woman's car, all of them unrestrained. Those children were taken to the hospital for for a precautionary checkup.

I saw another JPSO car chase last week, three JPSO units after a car. This was in Old Metairie also, around David Dr and W. Napoleon.
