As the 2017 year winds down where did everyone travel to this year?

I’ll start off.

1. Italy and France in March. Highlights include Paris, Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, and Capri.

2. Big Sky Montana and Yellowstone National Park in December. Did a ton of skiing and I highly recommend visiting Yellowstone in the winter if you don’t mind the cold weather. It was nice to avoid the crowds and basically have the entire park to yourself.

3. Knoxville, Tennessee in November. LSU vs Tenn football game. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were fun little places.

4. South Padre Island, Texas in July. Fun road trip. Beach was decent.

I think we went to the Charleston house. I can't really remember.

Went to the house in Santa Rosa Beach.

Coming home from Paris we had a connection flight in Reykjavik. My wife sat by a lady who went over her entire itinerary from the past week. Now, Iceland is an anticipated future destination for us. How did you like it?

It's an amazing trip and there is still some stuff I didn't see. Just be prepared it's very expensive.

Isla Mujeres
Jost Van Dyke (glad I got that trip in before the hurricane)
Cabo San Lucas
Napa Valley (after the fires)
Plus several weekend trips and Ohio State games

It wasn't a heavy travel year for me. 2018 already has Isla Mujeres, Tampa, St. John and Italy and Spain planned.

Peru - 3 weeks in July. Mostly on or near the Amazon around Iquitos. Tons of wildlife.

Colombia - Thanksgiving week. Cali and north up the Cauca Valley. Beautiful country.

Romania - for a week in October for work. Amazingly inexpensive, I liked the people, interesting history, pretty countryside. I'd like to go back and explore the Transylvania mountains.

London - for a week in February. Always a great destination.

Missouri - for the eclipse. We had to drive a ways to find clear sky but it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I'm planning to be in Mexico in 7 years for the next one.

Next year - The Pantanal in Brazil and mountains of Ecuador will be the big trips. And I'll probably have a few day layover in Iceland in a little over a month. And Germany.
