All of my friends have white collar jobs. And houses are getting bought up left and right. If there are no white collar jobs, who's buying them? And again, the crime issues here are the same that exist in any major city. No crime is always the goal, but it's not like New Orleans is Chicago....
I'm talking about corruption, apathy, low priority of education, obesity and poor health, etc.
New Orleans is no more corrupt, apathetic, uneducated, fat, or poor than any other major city. Take a look at Chicago or Detroit....

Oh and what city did you go to that's so damn special? I guarantee New Orleans has it beat on all the important factors when choosing a home: food, culture, history, proximity to fishing and hunting, etc. ...

re: Gambit article: "Is NOLA Worth It?" - AbitaFan08
Sure, Mitch is a terrible mayor. We can all agree on that. But the fact that you won't acknowledge that Mitch is less corrupt than Ray Nagin, which clearly proves NOLA is moving in the right direction, just shows how biased you are....

What negative aspects? The culture? The food? The architecture? The food? The history? The food? I've never been robbed or assaulted in New Orleans. And I've never known someone who has either. Get your head out of your arse and stay in BR, jealous little brother. ...
You should be very proud of how brave they are.
Anyone who owns a home in New Orleans is like Kaitlyn Jenner. Stunning and brave. But honestly whoever doesn't like New Orleans can GTFO, don't let the door hit your arse on the way out. And anyone who's already left? Good ridda...

I don't understand all the New Orleans hate going on here. I think it's a great place and any problems it has, every other major city in the country has. And I feel that my record reflects that....

re: New to wine - AbitaFan08
1. Quit being insecure about it. You like a full-bodied Cab? Enjoy. Like to drink rose on a hot summer evening? Go nuts. 2. Find a wine store in your area where the staff is knowledgeable. I have a place in my neighborhood that I love, because I can go in and say "I'm cooking 'x' tonight and woul...
