You need to reserve your copy today if you have Win 8.1 or Win 7.

Just a heads up.

I actually liked 8, but I'll wait a bit. I am sure there will be a few hiccups especially with 100 million people downloading it at the same time.

Where are you seeing that you must reserve today? Its supposed to be a free upgrade for the first year.

I'm doing it on 2 of mine. First time I've been looking forward to a Microsoft update in a long time.

I think your computer pre-downloads files in the background and then when that is ready it will prompt you to install Windows 10.

No clue if you'll need your product key again to do this. I know files, apps, and settings will not be disturbed as long as you install from 8.1...pretty sure that is the case for Win 7 too.

Don't you have until July 29, 2016?

I don't believe EVERYONE will be getting it tomorrow, right? I think it's more of a roll out type process and that simply begins tomorrow.

At least that's what I read over at CNET or something a week or 2 ago. They may have changed that idea though?

Not I. The update is s heduled during this exam I'm taking and I'm not chancing it causes a problem so I canceled my reservation. The software maker then emailed the same thing.

Will do it Friday I suppose when I'm done. Will I miss out on anything in that 48 hours? Eternal salvation perhaps?

Been looking forward to it. Have not enjoyed 8.1 on this 2 month old laptop.

Win 10 file size is expected to be between 3GB and 4GB. It will take many hours for the average user with the average ISP download speed to download it non-stop, if not longer.

Windows 10 roll-out will break Internet traffic records

No. Maybe in the spring once I've got a good (free/cheap) solution for the loss of WMC.

You know that you don't have to cancel right? You can pick a time to install Windows 10 after you download.

I'm gonna wait for a few weeks before doing mine.
