re: River Highlands has a sinkhole - junkfunky
Yes, I wonder if the cause is faulty or failed bulkhead due to water intrusion from the river that allowed that to happen or if the damage is due to pressure on the soil from the weight of the structure. If that is a contributing factor, they could be in for a long road ahead. They also might...

re: Good deal? 2014 iMac core i5, 500 gb--$1000 - junkfunky
If he's doing residential, he might be able to finish a job in a decent amount of time without his client getting pissed. I'm basing my assumptions in this thread on him using Revit in a commercial setting, like 90%+ of users (because he didn't say otherwise), and running Revit close to minimum req...

re: Good deal? 2014 iMac core i5, 500 gb--$1000 - junkfunky
I would assume so but I just don't know enough about running Windows on a mac. Personally, if it's something I rely on to make a living I want to put myself in the best position to minimize downtime. ETA: My PC at the house can't handle Revit but when I do need to get some work done I remote ...
AutoCAD, Revit, etc
Really? ETA: You shouldn't have a problem running ACad in parallels unless you're extruding, using AEC entities, etc. I've never heard of anyone running Revit in parallels but Revit is mostly (some processes are multi-thread) a single-thread processor a...

re: At what age did you or your kids upgrade from spincast reels? - junkfunky
Have both. Mine was about that age when he grabbed one of my open face spares. You don't want him getting frustrated so have a spincast ready when he loses his patience. After a few trips he almost exclusively uses the open face but he needs help/reminders still....
