I wish I knew the Dr said some of it is asbestos exposure. I have twenty years in the oil and gas industry working in plants and offshore. I wish I was lying I still haven't gotten my head wrapped around it and accepted it yet. Its just a little different when it might be a close relative put into this position

you can't see how completely fricking racist this train of thought is then I have no hope for you.

You are the only one to bring up race. Do you believe only non whites are poor?
Hmmm so who is the racist in this thread?

What does race have to do with how much someone pays in taxes?

This answer is going to be good!

Race aside .... I'm really surprised to see so much support for such a controlling law. Talk about big government, straight up rationing votes takes the cake. How about we just not give money and this is a non-issue.

The answer: You believed in SS... I didn't. Why should I pay for your wrong decision?

Can't stop being a dumbass can you?

Are you seriously asking me to believe that you don't know how SS works?

I'm not taking so much as a penny of your money.

It's sleazy comedy, but humorous...anyone who's been around awile knows the guy...look at his body of work...32 million views of that video...if you don't, you've been under a rock! Go to school and you'll stop relying on Webster's. Study the middle east! Trust me, most don't agree with you on anything, but keep shooting for that big post count!

Everyone should pay taxes. Everyone.

And by taxes, I mean Federal Income Taxes. Shut off the EIC spigot. Set a minimum federal tax rate: say 3-5%. And everyone pays at least that much. And if the top tax bracket gets raised, then the bottom tax bracket has to get raised too. It's shared sacrifice or some such nonsense our current President was good at expressing early in his 1st term before he quit doing anything of import at all.

I do advocate a flat rate federal tax! It's certainly fair and could dramatically simplify the ridiculous tax codes, reduce the IRS, etc.

I believe the following should be required to vote,

1. Land owning male, 21 or older who pays taxes.

If that described you, then you've actually got real skin in the game and thus should have the right to vote. Everyone else should shut their pie hole.

So don't think this board thinks too highly of new money rich folks. Not just Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, and Bill Gates, but the slew of newly minted 100-millionaires in the tech industry a la San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

I couldn't imagine them wanting these people to have votes that count 1000's of times more than theirs.

No. Voting is a right for all sane citizens in good standing with the law. It is not a privilege to be purchased through payments to the treasury.

It is but it shouldnt be. Voting should be a privilege, not a right.

Again, are you unaware that renters pay property taxes?

By this measure, maybe we should just extend voting rights to the banks that really own most of the land that you all seem to think you own.
