So as long as everyone can vote for someone, it is a Democracy?

As long as the votes are honestly tallied, it has the elements of a democracy. You linked the defs, read them.

Wait what? You realize I went to school in New York? I've attended Sabbath meals with orthodox families.

The rest you said applies, though.

All tax payers and seniors who paid more than 25 Yrs of taxes should vote, along with the legitimately disabled. The voting age should be 21. Passing a test and having ID should be required.

Interesting how the liberal logic is always "protect the minority" until it comes time to impose taxes.

The majority should not be able to impose taxes on the minority anymore than the majority should be able to limit the speech of the minority.

I have a question. I have worked like a dog all of my life. I have developed lung disease and am about to have to quit work and go on disability I am going to work as long as I can. Should I have the right to vote?
How old are you? If 25-35, no. If 65, probably yes. In between is gray area, depending on how much you contributed to society.

No Zach right now you are being the ignorant one. I have been paying into social security for over thirty years. Do you not think Ideserve to get ssome. Of that money back. I don't know how long I can survive but I wouldn't bet on a lot. I don't think I will ever come close to how much I put in.

No. I just think he's lying. If he's not, he can explain how he got lung disease if he's a non smoker. There are a lot of liars on message boards.

We are not a pure democracy, but rather a representative democracy. Rather than voting in-mass on every issue, we appoint reps to vote for us.

There is nothing in the Merriam Webster definition referring to multiple candidates in elections, simply the right to vote.

That's why SS is a socialist Ponzi Scheme. Why didn't you see it like I did and invest in private investments 40 years ago?

The answer: You believed in SS... I didn't. Why should I pay for your wrong decision?
