re: What is best tool for online questionnaires: Survey Monkey or Google Forms? - bigblake
Used both fairly extensively. Short answer: If you're using the survey inline (iframe) in a website then Google Forms for sure. If you're using it as an email then I think it's a personal preference. After each project I used to send out a unique SurveyMonkey survey to each participant. Each...

re: Let's expose Black Lives Matter for what it is: Promotion of cop killing - bigblake
I hate watching the Eric Gardner video because the guy doesn't really strike me as a violent person. Died for selling untaxed cigarettes... Still, the choke hold was only one of a few contributing factors to his death. He was still speaking after the choke hold was finished....

re: Question about Obama in relation to BLM and War on Cops - bigblake
2007 - 204 killed in LOD 2014 - 133 killed in LOD
To be fair 2007 is the most LOD deaths (by about 20 deaths) in the past 15 years. Also, "gunfire" deaths have been fairly consistent during the 15 year period. The reduction is due to many things, but a good portion from a redu...

re: Best Apps for 3-4 year old, iPad (mini) - bigblake
My kid averages 30 minutes of cartoons a day. That's the extent of their electronic time (it's on the TV). They get extra time if they poop on the potty. They spend 2-3 hours outside on the playground. ...

re: Best Apps for 3-4 year old, iPad (mini) - bigblake
I love all these holier than thou folks in here though. I'm sure they all are currently raising a 3-4 yr old that has no access to TV or electronics and understands fully how to stare out the side of a car contently on a long road trip.
Thanks. I need it for a 3 hour car ride and ...

re: Best Apps for 3-4 year old, iPad (mini) - bigblake
Great, thanks... There are plenty of apps that build reading (endless alphabet), math and programming skills (Scratch jr). Did people in the 1800s say the same thing about books once the printing press was invented? Anyways, still waiting on some good learning (y'all happy now?) apps for kids....

re: has anyone here done a coding boot camp? - bigblake
Never done it but know plenty of people that have. (I'm a software engineer) First, not that great for a total beginner. Would be better if you did some studying beforehand and then enter the bootcamp. The people that get jobs immediately following the bootcamp were usually ones who alrea...
Bush was terrible for the economy. And they are ready to put in the second string back in charge.
I'm a Rand Paul fan and you're a Bernie fan. I said Bernie sucked and you started talking about Bush. Defend how he's good for the economy instead of saying "he's good for the econo...

re: Who is Bernie Sanders. - bigblake
Look, you need to debate the type of Republicans that are all about worthless issues. Look at the first Republican debate: "Has God spoken to you?" "How would you stop ISIS" "How would you strengthen the military" etc.. The economy is the most important thing and Bernie is terrible for the eco...
You obviously don't know where it was built. It was built in east Germany, around the part of Berlin that was controlled by US Britain and France. It was built to keep East Germans out of West Berlin. I'm not sure why you think the East Germans wanted to keep West Berliners in West Berlin. [/...

re: Graduate School is Supposed to be Harder ? - bigblake
I think the thesis question was rhetorical, but no I did not have one. The "hard" thing about the MBA is the amount of group projects that are required. Every class had one and would spend dozens of hours in group meetings. The math required in an MBA is relatively low, though in advanced fina...

re: Graduate School is Supposed to be Harder ? - bigblake
My experience was going from a BS in engineering (mechanical) to a MBA. Graduate school was easy, and I found that the quantitative courses that tripped up most of the students (Finance, Economics) to be easier than the easiest engineering class. Most of the people in my cohort were business maj...
