People keep saying this. I don’t believe Jordan would get the votes from the moderates.

Disappointed I don't see Clay Higgins in this group. Guess he got his Trump marching orders and is in lock step with MTG et al.

Correct.
We need to get the FC to nominate Scalise. He would win and unite the party

He wouldn't, which is why he doesn't even support himself as Speaker.

Only thing missing at this point is a Trump Truth/Statement.
Trump should knife McCarthy and come out for Jordan who actually supports Trump.
I promise you McCarthy will knife Trump not long after becoming Speaker should he get the gavel.
Why doesn't Trump recognize this?

These “look at me” congressmen who insist on yelling out their silly editorial comments are annoying AF.
They’re the obvious narcissists in the room.

Exactly, he doesn’t want to be associated with this mess.

Trump coming out against McCarthy would only solidify McCarthy among many GOP House Members right now...

Interesting.

He’s mad they aren’t participating in Matt Gaetz’s latest political theater.

I don’t think those who are dissenting give a lick about who Trump supports.
And the McCarthy supporters obviously aren’t going anywhere.
This is where leadership kicks in, and someone has to take the bull by the horns.
This is interesting, from a political science perspective.

I don't disagree but you don't recognize that Trump's endorsement of McCarthy is completely wasted because McCarthy is not MAGA, hates Trump and will turn on Trump as soon as he is Speaker or not long after?
McCarthy will be among the most vocal Republicans denouncing Trump come spring.

I can’t imagine anything changes today.
I’m thinking these cats are dug in.
Another vote today? Seems futile.
Negotiations have to happen.

When the Left edge of the GOP peels off and votes against the majority, the dissenters should be flogged.
When the Right edge does so, they are only standing up for truth and justice and hot cinnamon apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

I don’t think you’re targeting your comment at anyone in particular, Hank, but I want to weigh in with my worthless opinion ….
I couldn’t care less what happens at this point.
Aggie Word.
It doesn’t matter anyway.
With the possible exception of Chip Roy, I find all of ‘em to be worthless.
I’m just here for the theatrics and history of it.

The Speaker vote splinter group simply doesn’t trust or have confidence in McCarthy. He is a reed shaken with the wind with no real beliefs other than putting and keeping himself in power.

Scalise doesn’t give two fricks about his “constituents.”
