I had no idea he was gay. Should I sell all my apple products now?

They lured you in to buying them in the first place. Selling them won't change anything

I think it's gay that people have to announce that they are gay.

This reminds me when the CNBC host "accidentally outted" him.

That whole set knew it was true but all were very awkward. Pretty funny.

He's proud to be gay ergo others should be proud of their sexuality and instead of shamefully hiding in the closet. And yes, as long as being gay remains a societal taboo, it will be big news when someone of important stature says they are proud to be gay.

But if we keep talking about on and on and on, why, it will be accepted as normal.
He should be lauded for his brave stance in admitting his choices. (yawn)

This wasn't news yesterday or even 5 or 10 years ago.

Everyone has known this forever. The LGBT community has pressured him to openly announce it. He didn't have a choice.

Who cares? Smart, successful, and by all accounts very good guy.

I think bringing more attention to this is counter-productive. Treat shite like this as a non-issue and it becomes one. Its like reverse-racism being counter-productive to the end goal of black people who want equal treatment.

I will add there is obviously a time and place to stand on the pulpit and demand equality, but this doesn't seem like one of them.

It is pretty odd that someone can pressure another individual to tell the public what kind of genitals he prefers, and it's not only acceptable, but also considered a victory. Or the fact that this information will actually affect a technology company's revenue or stakeholders in some way, even if the impact is negligible.
