re: Are you going to have an electric/model train under your Xmas tree? - SippyCup
CSB or not so much: My grandmother had a separate garage where she kept al my deceased grandfathers "junk". As kids, my brother and I use to love crashing the old trains into one another. When my grandmother died we had an estate sale and the trains and everything that went with it sold for almost 2...

re: $300,000 home cash, or 50% down $600,000 home in a nicer neighborhood - SippyCup
This comes up on here once a week. We all retreat to the camp we come from, but once again this makes no sense to me. Who would pay $300k in cash for a house? If you have 5x that in cash laying around it might make sense. Why put 50% down on a house? Rates are still very cheap. Call me craz...

re: What will it seriously take to clean up New Orleans and it's senseless crime? - SippyCup
1) Patience. It won't happen over night. The hood mentality needs to be eradicated and that will take at minimum 2 generations. 2) competent elected officials to complete the following. 3) Education along with after school programs. The parents are not going to help so it's up to the schools t...

re: Disney World Review - 11/16 through 11/25 - SippyCup
Wow, you have some great, upscale reservations there. Doing the high-brow disney dining scene. Good for you!
We usually stay at the Boardwalk and always try to eat at Flying Fish (wife's fav) and The Yachtsman (my fav and arguably the best steak) every visit. We got lucky with Ca...

re: Disney Crowd Calendars - SippyCup
quote: February/September....only times to go to Disney with kids and not hate your life This is false. Here now and crowds are not bad compared to other times I've been. There are a few weeks in the fall and winter that are less crowded.
When it comes to lin...

re: I would participate in a flag burning to protest Trump's tweet - SippyCup
Why isn't flag burning a crime? If I go outside and light my garbage on fire on a public street I'm pretty sure I could be arrested and/or fined....
Can you change something else to add Ohana back in on another day?
We have dinner ADR's at California Grill (during fireworks), The Yachtsman, Flying Fish, San Angel Inn, Chefs de France and now Victoria and Alberts. Are any of these worth switching for O'hana? On an unrela...

re: Disney World Review - 11/16 through 11/25 - SippyCup
Going in March. Had reservations for dinner at O'hana but ended up (by pure luck) getting a spot at Victoria & Alberts on the same night. I was looking forward to that dinner as we have only had breakfast there, but we couldn't pass up the V&A. ...

re: Trump's Business and Potential Conflicts - SippyCup
1) president is exempt from those laws so an impeachment due to conflict of interest won't happen. 2) it would literally be impossible to divest of all his real estate holdings before innaguaration. In fact, it could take all 4 years and longer. 3) he has naming rights deals with plenty of pro...

re: what was your religious/spiritual upbringing and what is it now ? - SippyCup
Well this is retarded. If you don't want to force a view down their throats until they can think for themselves shouldn't the default be to not raise them as any religion? re: what was your religious/spiritual upbringing and what is it now ? - SippyCup
Raised Catholic, now Atheist. Too much evidence/Science that does not coincide with my religious upbringing. I hope that one day I am proven wrong. My kids are being raised as Catholics and wont know my true beliefs until they are old enough to form their own opinions....
