re: Is Take 5 Oil Change any good? - ILikeLSUToo
I used Take 5 a few times on my old car, until one day the plug fell off on the way home....

re: Gaming Computers- Suggestions? - ILikeLSUToo
Yeah, good find. I guess it'd be as much as the newegg one after tax but it's local. Brand doesn't matter. I'd bet the MSI panel is a little better, but that's about it....

re: Gaming Computers- Suggestions? - ILikeLSUToo
This would be right up your alley. Decent gaming performance, 256Gb SSD, i7, 16gb RAM. A little above your budget but a great price (sale ends soon): https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16834154493 If you want to stay in budget, get this version. https://www.newegg.com/Product/P...

re: Where do y'all baws shop for furniture and home wares? - ILikeLSUToo
I order a lot of shite online. It's a little risky not seeing it in person, but I've had good luck with it so far. Assembling it is therapeutic. ...

re: Help! Do you guys add coworkers to your gaming friends lists? - ILikeLSUToo
I've had a telecommute job for years, so I have never told a single coworker. I don't want there to be a perception that I am gaming all day during work hours (I don't)....
Hopefully they use better TIM than whatever they used for the 7700k.
The enthusiast line has continued to use solder.
And hopefully the prices are reasonable.
Ha. The 44-lane enabled CPUs are going to be ridiculously high. What's weird is the 4C/4T still be...

I'll be 32 next month. And I'm watching Hey Arnold right now, and about to switch it to Dragon Ball Z on Plex. Some background noise while I play video games. Age is just a number!...

re: Could you eat $1,000 worth of McDonalds in 36 hours? - ILikeLSUToo
Their most price-dense food would probably be a chicken sandwich, and even then, $950 of them (still gotta buy $50 in burgers) would still require eating at least 1 sandwich every 15 minutes with no sleep. ...

re: PC Discussion - Gaming, Performance and Enthusiasts - ILikeLSUToo
Noise reduction is the biggest perk for me. Lots of radiator surface area, gentle typhoons at constant 900-1000rpm, pump totally decoupled. Quite a bit to spend for silence, but yeah, aesthetics and whatnot....

Pump with reservoir typically $100+ Full cover GPU blocks are $130+ each Backplates are $30+ each CPU block $50-100 Radiators $50-$100+ depending on size Tubing varies, but it's definitely the cheapest part of a loop besides the water itself. I get 10ft of primochill for $25. Fittings can...

Make sure it's not throttling obviously (and I'd hope not). I also added a bit to "uncore." I have it at 45. I meant to see if I can push it higher but haven't had a chance. I didn't break 16K on Physics until I hit 5.1Ghz actually. Highest I benched was with 5.2, but I'm keeping my everyday OC 5.0 ...

Here's Corsair's parts store for your case: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/pc-computer-cases/case-parts-and-accessories?accmodel=550D I've ordered direct from their store before. Shipping is a bit slow but it gets there. It looks like you'll have to order the full front panel connector assembly, bu...

re: Have you ever gotten a job through an online job posting site like indeed? - ILikeLSUToo
Yeah, got the job I just started this week through indeed. I applied at 10-15 places over a couple of months, got 2 interviews and 1 offer. Job boards like that tend to bring in a ton of resumes that recruiters have to sort through, so make sure your resume is customized to the job description/r...

I know, just wanted to clarify that he doesn't need to worry about the block -> pump order dumping extra heat on the pump when he arranges for shorter runs. Took another pic with the MSI LED disabled. ...

re: PC Discussion - Gaming, Performance and Enthusiasts - ILikeLSUToo
Tasteful LEDs dammit  Probably going to disable the one coming from the board itself. MSI advertises "RGB" lighting but you really only get to choose from half a dozen colors, and the "white" color option is too blue compared to the RAM and SLI bridge....
