The two MJ had were impressive but the Bulls barely missed a beat when he was gone for gambling. As for LBJ four straight finals and a potential 3 peat that could be a 4 peat if he wasnt off a few times in 2011. Which is more impressive IYO?

Neither. Tracy McGrady's almost 7-peat was WAY better than both. He was only 7 away.

well, according to my preschool counting lesson, two is greater than one. as such, two 3 peats, is more impressive than only one...

why is this even a thread?

The NBA is better now than it was during MJ's day - so I say Lebron's single three peat.

Well when you think three guys decided they wanted to try and win a title and all go to the same team.

Jordan's were greater

The Bulls 3 peats were done with two basically different teams.

The only common players were Pippen and Jordan.

They flipped a roster and came back. To me that is the impressive thing.

Am I crazy or did they not win 3 in a row with him, none without him, and then 3 more in a row with him?
How is that not missing a beat?

It just isn't. Stop with this. The NBA was better in the late 80's and 90's and it isn't close.

How is this even a question?

I was a teen/young adult then and I am middle aged now. I watched both eras and there is no doubt that the NBA was more competitive then with better all-around players and teams.

They lost in the 2nd round both years he was gone (he came back for the end of the season the 2nd year). They won 6 straight titles the six years that bookended that (which is winning 3 more playoff series a season). They went from 47 to 72 wins when he came back. Perhaps "barely missed a beat" might want to be rethought.

The Celtics had it easy during their 4 straight finals appearances too.

4 straight finals appearances aren't as impressive in the weak arse west.
