LeBron is better than Kobe. Kobe is better than Duncan.

He's really not.

Kobe hasn't shot over 47% in a single season in his ENTIRE career. When you consider the fact that a good amount of people call him a top 5-6 player of all-time, Kobe is one of the most overrated players of all-time.

Kobe should barely even be top 10 honestly.

He is definitely not top 5.

He is, but so is Duncan.

Kobe is fringe top 10. I've always said 9-12. He's basically the least efficient "all-time great" there is.

Jordan shot over 50% six times in his career. Besides his rookie year, Dwyane Wade has shot at least 47% every year but once in his career. These are also 2 guards.

Once again, Kobe hasn't shot over 47% one time. Ever. And he's played with great supporting casts. That really shouldn't happen. And he probably played at least half of his "prime" without Shaq, so you can't really blame it on the big man always clogging up the lane.

Ate you serious? Kobe logged WAY more minutes and attempted more shots. Of course he is likely to have a lower percentage. He scored more points and took really high percentage shots. Kobe is better than Duncan.

Kobe had 3 rings by the time he was 24. Lebron has 2 rings and he's 29. Let's not forget Kobe also got 2 more rings by the time he was 32.

Duncan has averaged over 30 minutes only one season over the past 5, I think.

Kobe had 3 rings by 24, but how many Finals MVP's did he have?

How come Dwyane Wade, a comparable 2, shoots it so much better from the field?

and took really high percentage shots.

The answer to my first question probably disproves this.

Wade has been getting a lot more rest since LeBron arrived in Miami. Dude got to take almost 30 games off this season, and his minutes have dropped considerably since LeBron arrived.

Wade isn't in his prime anymore. Neither is Kobe. I'm not really basing any comparison between the two on the last two or so years.

Kobe had a longer prime than Wade and is certainly the better all-time player because of that (and also because of his more consistent commitment to defense), yet Wade managed to shoot a higher percentage from the field AND get to the line more than Kobe year in and year out.

Like I said, Kobe is overrated to me. He really didn't take great shots. He settled for tough shots a lot. When he was hot, he was amazing. When he wasn't, he played a lot of hero ball and looked like Jordan without as many made baskets.

He didn't go to the hole enough.

dear god, youre losing credibility. never won anything. this is like saying: the 2014 g state warriors are awesome!! look at all their great players!! yes, theyve won 1 playoff series in 2 years, but its a stacked team!!!

Hawks with Blaylock, Dominique and Augmon
never won anything

Sonics with Kemp, Perkins and Payton
what about detlef schrempf? never won anything

Even a bad Nuggets team had Mutumbo, Abdul-Rauf and a very solid Laphonso Ellis
this is your argument? these bums? where do they rank in this year's west? probably dont make the playoffs. never won anything
quote:

No matter how you look at it, this was a very stacked league with a great deal of balance that will probably never be seen again
im sure in your best memories, it was awesome, but these teams exist today. they wear different jerseys with different names on the back, but its the same thing: capable, talented teams that arent good enough to beat the current, reigning power.

Well most of those teams never won anything because of Jordan.

While I am not agreeing nor disagreeing with your side of the argument, to say that the league when Jordan was playing wasn't talented because none of the other teams won titles (ya know, because Jordan was winning them every year) is pretty silly.

ETA: The talent in the NBA from 2012-2014 was shite! None of those collections of players besides LeBron and the Heat ever won anything!

it's the most important thing according to Jordan supporters. Old folk look back on that era like it was something special, but it wasn't. It was a great team, a few really good ones, and some big name, hollow teams. I mean, one argument is a Mutumbo, Abdul-Rauf and a very solid Laphonso Ellis team somehow raised the degree of difficulty in the early 90s

That's the point Texas. They were great players who never won the title because of Jordan and compared to the teams today the league back then was much better top to bottom, which you still haven't disproved.

I agree with your overall point, trust me. But the way you tried to argue it made no sense.
