And they may still spend a ton of money on Hosmer which makes no sense. But they won a World Series (almost two) so I could live off that for a long time as a fan....

Braun is owed $56 million. Price is still owed $157 million. Red Sox would have to throw in a ton of cash....

Did you not see they signed Vance Worley? I think you can feel safe getting the 2018 World Series Champs tattoo now. ...
re: Garrett Temple having a great night for the Kings

Wow, had 19 in the 4th and 17 straight Kings points.
I always thought he'd be a potential LSU coach down the line. He seems really well-liked by his teammates everywhere and GMs though; would not be surprised if he stuck around in the NBA when his playing career is over....

Yeah, anyone in Alabama who is voting for this guy can get off their moral high horse. The Sandusky stuff is way ...
Stanton edges Votto by two points. Wow.
I thought Stanton would win going away but, as a Votto fan, it frustrates me he was that close to his 2nd mvp. Great to see the voters acknowledging the advanced numbers for him though. And outside of wanting Votto to win, ood to see Stanton ...

Is this the thread where we all band together to get Joe Paterno's statue put back up?...
re: Joey Votto Hall of Fame Chances?
Posted by emmanuellewis on 8/25/17 at 3:35 pm
People find Votto unlikable? He isn't outgoing but is incredibly bright. I love hearing him talk about his approach. Anyway, I would say that he has a slightly above average chance at the HOF at this stage and that he has a great chance of aging well--but must avoid injuries that have really hurt hi...

Our country ignoring mental illness is about the only thing I agree with that you've typed. It is pretty clear you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to these issues. And that is okay, you probably shouldn...

That wasn't a diversion.
You just characterized sexual assault victims as people who feel "insignificant, no confidence, questioning yourself with every move, angry." Then said:
I don't know big guy but it doesn't sound promising for the victim. Show me that CEO that's a victim of abus...

This situation and story are awful and I have no idea what will happen. My guess is he won't pitch again in college (and maybe not at all).
These threads always devolve into people trying to one-up each other on how much they are against sexual molestation of kids. Every single rational person is...

Love almost all of the movies posted but Cocktail is a good choice for hitting the 80s aesthetic. Commando does agood job of capturing the ridiculous action feel of the era.
FWIW in terms of the most 80s sequence I would go with the Key West scene from Running Scared. Just a ridiculous 3 minutes ...
