re: NBA Thread 3/25: Wizards vs. Cavs Edition. Wizards win 127-115 - KillerNut9
It's so bad that I just have to assume they really don't give a shite about the last quarter of the season....

The amount of effort the Cavs show on defense is laugh out loud funny....

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
My main point is momentum. If Hayes misses that FT, the best case shot scenario Florida had was to get something up a few feet in front of half court....

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
Sure, but the offense is already so much more off-kilter after a FT miss than an inbounds play....
Again, everything I said would have been totally reasonable to say no way it would, and it did.
Im not saying what #0 did in that scenario is the likely end result of this, but if you're telling me Hayes makes the 2nd FT, then you absolutely facegaurd one of the guards. What r...
It would have been totally reasonable before the final play to say that there arse no chance that #0 would botch his assignment AND get in the way of the big guy who wouldn't reasonably be guarding the fastest players on the Florida team too,no?
Putting yourself in an awkward positi...

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
if he misses and they score a 2, they're the dumbest team on earth
The only way UF gets off a 2 after a Wisconsin miss is if the entire Badger team left the court....

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
You're severely underestimating how much extra space is covered when you can catch an inbounds pass already running upcourt....

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
So, in your scenario, we get to assume a rebound and long outlet pass to the 3 pt line to an open Florida player. That's the only fair way to make this an apples to apples comparison.
And the only way this happens is if a Wisconsin player loses his man, which anyone with a reasonab...

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
He botched his assignment because the UF guard caught the inbounds pass with upcourt momentum, which doesn't happen with a missed FT. They wouldn't have gotten anything better than a half court look even with botched assignments....

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
You do realize that Hayes making the second FT allowed the Florida guard to catch the inbounds pass while he was already running upcourt, right? There would have been zero upcourt momentum if Flordia gets a rebound off a Hayes miss. And there's a zero percent chance Flordia would have gotten off...

re: Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
Or they could have missed the FT on purpose and fouled Florida while trying to get the rebound.
lol what? It's pretty simple to avoid fouling on a rebound in that situation.
You don't miss on purpose there. It's a bad strategy
If you consider a bad strategy bei...

Hayes should have missed the 2nd FT - KillerNut9
Florida didn't have enough time to get off a 2 point shot after a miss. The 2nd FT make allowed Florida to inbounds the ball and get the forward momentum needed for a good look. College basketball coaches strike again....
