Saw this nugget on hoopshype this morning. From the guys twitter acct, he's a Bucks sportswriter. Don't know how credible he is but thought I'd share.

I'd take Mayo and Butler for Gordon.
Mayo makes $8 a year, which is much better than Gordon's $14, and he's about of equal caliber.
Butler makes $8 and he's expiring.
Try to get a servicable SF in FA.

WHy not?
it's obvious Mayo doesn't want to be there. Butler is just an expiring. So they are expecting to let him and others expire and wooo someone to come to Milwaukee and play with Nate Wolters?
There best options to pick decent players is not thru free agency, it's the draft and trades and they will most likely be picking in the first 3.

I honestly see no way a team trades for EG. He is inconsistent as hell & only scores 16 ppg. He is similar to Mayo and double the cost.

its really not that far fetched... Mayo has fallen out of the rotation and at isnt even logging minutes at this point.... Im sure they arent excited to be paying $8m for DNP (flu like symptoms)

Butler is expiring, slim chance hes in the future plans and resigns there.

The NBA is stupid and place a big emphasis on potential instead of production, and they always think they can change that player and make him better by putting him in a better situation.

but i agree with you, just making the case.

Gordon didn't want to be in New Orleans. You think he wants to play in Milwaukee?

Milwaukee is a team that would do it. They can't attract anyone in FA anyway, they have no good trade assets they want to part with, and as disgruntled as Mayo has been, Gordon would probably be worth the extra money to the Bucks. They don't sign MLE guys to big contracts just because they're stupid, they are also desperate.

It sounds like there's a lot of drama in that Bucks locker room. We never would have dreamed a team would take not only Okafor, but Okafor and Ariza off our hands, but things had gotten bad enough for the Wizards that they seemed excited about it.

Do you think the bucks trade for that cancer after knowing what he did to us. And they have the worst record in the nba and are in Milwaukee. Sure Gordon wouldn't complain at all. That's the point. They never will trade for him

Milwaukee only has about $47m in actual payroll this season thanks to using amnesty on Drew Gooden.

As a result, we could potentially send out Gordon for a minimum of a few million in salary in return. Hell, we may well end up with a $14m TPE if the Bucks can find a way to dump enough salary to get $14m in space.
