They need a SG badly. OJ mayo's lazy arse screwed them over big time. He basically quit as soon as he got there, although he does have a reason to be pissed with the franchise's state.

Why on God's green Earth has nobody mentioned John Henson??? I get that he's probably considered "untouchable", but the Bucks are in such a mess that I wouldn't call any of their players untouchable.
I would take on all these guys in this order:
1. Henson $2.5M w/club option 2016
2. Middleton $0.75M w/qualifying offer option 2015
3. Sanders $11M exp. 2019
4. Giannis $2M w/club option 2015
5. Ilyasova $8M exp. 2017
6. Zaza $5M exp. 2016
They all are an upgrade from Aminu/our centers

Nobody has mentioned him because it's ridiculous to mention him.

Why? He's no all-star yet, he's been injured 3 times already this year. I get that its unlikely, but certainly worth a mention.

It's not. They aren't trading him. They love him. It's incredibly remote.
Posted on 2/13/14 at 7:25 pm to CecilShortsHisPants
The Bucks don't actually want Gordon, they just are considering whether he would be a better fit than some of their own bad contracts. The only way we get something good out of trading with them is if Mayo and/or Sanders improve with a change of scenery.

E. Gordon for B. Gordon swap looks like the most favorable/semi-realistic deal that's possible.

Rumor is the Bobcats offered Gordon and a 1st for Evan Turner. Not sure they'd do that for EG.

Q: Latest rumor is Bucks are interested in Eric Gordon. Based on his injury history, that looks like a bad move for the Bucks. That said, would Pels trade Gordon for Mayo and Neal? I would hope thee Bucks would not offer more than that.
Alex Kennedy: The Bucks have shot this down. A well placed source from the Bucks told our Bill Ingram that any report about Milwaukee being interested in Eric Gordon is “completely untrue” so it doesn’t sound like they’ll make that move.

Anything that is leaked out now is leaked intentionally by one side or the other. Maybe we leaked the story to put pressure on Charlotte. Maybe the Bucks reporter made it up or assumed too much after seeing something innocuous like the Bucks GM wave at Gordon after the game. Mayo for Gordon seems plausible, in fact I'm not sure I'd even go for it. If Gordon opts out I'd rather keep him than have Mayo semi clogging our cap through AD's extension.

They won't do that for us.
What I'm wondering is, if they get a 2 like Gordon, what will they do with Gerald Henderson.
Will they want to deal him, make him the sixth man, or kick him over to the 3 to play in front of MKG?
I'm willing to take Henderson from them depending on what they want in addition to Gordon, as Henderson can play the 3 reasonably well. I have a suspicion, though, that they'll kick him over to the 3.

I wasn't exactly thrilled at any of our prospects with the Bucks, but it was fun to speculate on.
Once again...we aren't going to make any moves.

An expiring and a 1st round pick from the Bobcats? I can't see the 76ers turning that down.

More like an expiring and a 1st round pick from the Blazers. The Bobcats 1st round pick is already owed to Chicago this year. It's top 10 protected and the Bobcats are currently the 8 seed looking to get better. I think 2016 is the first future pick they can offer.

They may be looking for a better offer.
Charlotte gives up their 1st to Chicago if they make the playoffs. They get Portland's pick if it is outside the lottery. They get Detroit's pick if it is outside the top 8.
Philly is likely being offered Portland's pick, which will be in the 20s, as part of the deal. They likely want Detroit's pick if it ends up conveyed this year, which Charlotte will refuse to do.

Yeah, unless the 76ers really really love Turner, they should probably do that.
Then again...do expirings really do them THAT much good? They have like 23 mill on the books next year WITH Turner's QO.
People aren't going to be knocking down their door in Free Agency.

Free agency isn't the only way to use your cap space.
Philly is likely to leverage their cap space to facilitate moves for other teams, which allows them to get some picks or various players at little cost to them.

Figured I'd put this here since a few ppl wanted Sanders in a possible deal for EG.

Pass, and not because of his orbital bone.
Being a locker-room problem and a fricking idiot who broke his thumb in a bar fight kills my enthusiasm at taking on a $11m / season deal for him.

You don't say...
Its a great thing to have cap space to facilitate trades, but if the trades don't come, you're left having to meet the salary floor. They'll be at like 15 million without Turner.
I mean, in theory, we could see a super team in Philly with Melo, LBJ, Parker/Wiggins/Embiid, and Noel.
