I didnt' realize Sanders would be making 11 million a year after this year for the next 4 years. F that.

Yup. He got paid. And hasn't done shite this year. And supposedly his attitude has been terrible.

That's the thing with Sanders. He comes off more as a guy who plays basketball to get paid than a guy who is a great basketball player to help you win. At his current contract, the Pels cannot risk him continuing his flake job.

Sounds like Bynum, another flake I'm sure we're all glad didn't land here.

I really haven't followed him enough to know anything about it.

He comes off as crazy and selfish. With his contract, he is an extreme risk to implode any locker room.

I had previously alluded to attitude problems, but don't know the specifics. Can you elaborate?

He got into a bar fight and missed 25 games to start the year with a thumb injury as a result. He regularly gets technicals and/or ejected from games. Bucks guard Gary Neal has called him out for "not earning his money" in the media.

Sanders could be a really rare two-way player in today's game who brings toughness and production on both ends of the floor. But he is a very immature; at his contract, another team must have a strong locker room (head coach and established leaders) to control him if they are the take the risk. That team is not the Pelicans.

mayo/butler for Gordon/Steamshit puts our salaries for next year at $32,727,000. no aminu, gordon, steamshit.
Adding Smith, Ajinca, Babbitt back would probably put it around $36.
That's a lot of cap room.

Adding Gordon in that scenario, puts the Bucks at around $52 million for next year, which isn't that great for them, but gives them some room, unless they think somewhat highly of Gordon.

Yeah it seems like they would want to dump way more salary.

but for what? they picked up 2 free agents last year. Mayo, who clearly doesn't want to play there, and Delfino, who has yet to show up b/c of "injuries", although he did have surgery.

I don't think there is team in the NBA that players don't want to go to more than Milwaukee. Trades and the draft are the only way to attract good players for them.

True. But Gordon is a different breed (fill in your own joke here). He is a midwestern guy who might not mind playing there and being closer to Indy.

Cleveland is up there because it is a shite-show from top to bottom, regardless of the actual talent on the team.

No. Sorry, but your math is way off. Evans, Holiday, Anderson and Davis alone are 36M just by themselves. Adding Mayo and the other 3 you named is over 10M and puts the team around 50M (counting Rivers, Withey and various other pieces). The extra room for Butler would be nice, but it just gives us what he is paid (8M).

my bad, forgot to add 8 for Mayo

the only people on the books next year are
AD
Anderson
Reke
Jrue
Rivers
Morrow
Withey
Ajinca
We have the option on Miller and Roberts, both with are 1.1 million for next year. Bye Miller, keep Roberts.
That's 41.8 million in salary, not including Gordon or Mayo.

E.G./Steamer for Mayo/Zaza/2nd rounder.

Thr Bucks will be picking in the top 2-3 of the 2nd round so we should be able to get someone who can produce with that pick.

We could do EG for Ben Gordon and be at $40.6 for next year.
Maybe we could sign Lebron or Melo, or if Lebron and Wade stay, tell Bosh to leave them and come play with AD.
It's fun to dream.

Miami could actually only have 2 players on their team next year. Cole and Birdman, 3.5 million total. That would be a lot of cap space.
That would be hilarious if Lebron and Bosh left, Wade retired, and Haslem left, leaving them just Cole and Birdman and the last pick in the draft, if they even have a draft pick.

It will be the first pick of the 2nd round. The lottery effects the lottery, and that's it.

We've been kicking around that one for awhile, but all rumors seem to point to them trying to make a play for Evan Turner.
