10. 5275 Government Street Baton Rouge, LA - Sadly the closest location for LSU students and quite a trip from campus.

9. 1243 St Charles Ave New Orleans,LA - the lack of a drive-thru hurts this locale, although the whimsical cast of characters in the dining room makes up for it. Hey- at least with no drive-thru they can't pull the dreaded "pull up to the side" bullshite.

8. 8350 West Judge Perez Drive Chalmette, LA - I admittedly have never been to this one but I believe it is the closest to the original location. I'd appreciate some clarification.

7. 701 North Causeway Boulevard Mandeville, LA - only a few seconds off the causeway with a full appetite.

6. Louis Armstrong International - Perhaps the most symbolic of all Popeyes, I love exiting the terminal after a vacation and smelling the greatness. Welcome to New Orleans, indeed.

5. 1301 Veterans Metairie,LA - A solid, fast selection. My biggest issue is that the line constantly leaks into the street, causing typical Metairie douchebags in a Ford F250 4x4 to honk the horn and flick the bird at you.

4. 4041 Magazine St New Orleans,LA - The mashed potatoes at this location are famous, and for good reason.

3. 621 Canal St New Orleans,LA - This will no doubt stir up some major controversy. The fingers here leave a bit to be desired, however their family boxes remain a Mardi Gras staple.

2. 2000 Gentilly Blvd New Orleans,LA - I was reluctant to list this location, as it seems to be my secret. Lorenzo in the kitchen learned from Mr.Copeland himself, and you can taste it in the chicken. I've never encountered a wait here, and they will also throw in extra free BBQ sauces.

1. 1300 W Pinhook Rd, Lafayette, LA ? - The only one I've been to with a buffet (although I've heard rumors of one somewhere in between Jacksonville and Miami). Game.Set.Match.

Gone but not forgotten: Super Popeyes on Vets, Popeyes on Burbank-Baton Rouge,LA

Was at this location on Saturday afternoon. The lack of a drive through is very disappointing, but the quality was there.

Can you please compile a sub-list of ALL Popeyes locations that serve fried chicken livers? I can start you off with the ones on Loyola Dr and Williams Blvd in Kenner...but I'd sure like to know if any closer to Uptown offered livers. Every once in a while, I'm seized by a fried liver craving.

Yep, right around the corner from my aunt's house (my Mardi Gras headquarters). Doesn't feel like Mardi Gras til I've been in there to get some chicken and biscuits.

I was excited to see that they have Popeyes here in Portland, and the quality of the product is pretty good, but the price is expensive. Much more expensive than down south. I compared it to the one in the Atlanta airport, and it is much more expensive than that one, too.

I rarely go to Popeyes as it is, but this is a downer...

My personal #1. One of the first ones opened in Orleans parish after the storm. Always running like a fine-tuned machine when I go pick up my 100 pieces on Mardi Gras morning.

Yeah, agreed. I lived right around the corner from there. The exchange always went a little something like this:

Me: I'll take a 5 piece tenders, spicy, with red beans as the side.
Lady: 5 piece?
Me: Yes
Lady: Spicy or mild?
Me: ...Spicy
Lady: Your side?
Me: Uh... red beans.
